US Auto Finance Consultant
Chas Roscow is considered an auto finance expert with his entire 35-year career dedicated to the industry. Chas is currently employed by State Farm Bank as Director, Vehicle Lending & Agent Banking at their headquarters in Bloomington, IL. State Farm Bank is a subsidiary of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (SFMAIC), the largest insurer of homes and automobiles in the US. Chas was also SVP & Division Executive of the Consumer Lending Division at Chevy Chase Bank headquartered in the Washington DC market area. Chas managed a multi-billion dollar consumer loan portfolio which included auto loans and leases, as well as other consumer loan products in 27 US states. Chas was also President & CEO of their finance company subsidiary Consumer Finance Corporation, which originated and serviced sub-prime auto loans. After Capital One acquired Chevy Chase Bank in 2009, Chas founded Tactical Auto Training, an auto finance training & consulting company designed to help auto lenders manage risk and profitability. Tactical served primarily US-based banks, finance companies, Credit Unions, and captive finance companies, but also served clients in 8 other countries. After nearly 7 years consulting, in 2015 Chas was recruited by State Farm Bank to help advance their US vehicle lending presence. Chas also held the position of VP (auto lending) at Huntington National Bank, Columbus, Ohio, and GMAC, prior to changing their name to Ally.
Chas has had several articles published in nationally known Banking journals such as American Banker and Auto Finance News. Chas is a frequent speaker at national auto lending conferences. Chas currently serves as a member of the Consumer Bankers Association’s Auto Finance Committee based in Washington DC.
Chas has an MBA from The Ohio State University, and also graduated in 2005 with Honors from Consumer Bankers Association's Executive Banking School - then held at the University of Virginia. Chas also spent five years as an adjunct MBA Professor at Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio - teaching courses in Marketing, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship. In 2014 Chas became Certified in Auto Lending Compliance by the (US) National Auto Finance Associations. Chas is a member of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and has written articles about Porsche cars and their drivers in "der Vorgänger”, which is the official magazine of the Founders’ Region Potomac, PCA in the Washington DC area. Chas is married to Wei Roscow who is from Beijing. They have two sons, Fred (9) and Jack (7) and currently live in Illinois.
